Former Weber Shandwick UK CEO joins global stakeholder engagement group to lead its next chapter of international growth
Leading the evolution of the Group
Positive Change Group has appointed Helen Bennett as Group CEO, as the business accelerates its international growth strategy. Helen joins from Weber Shandwick, where she spent 19 years and served as UK CEO since 2022, leading one of the UK's largest and most respected communications businesses.
Helen takes up the role in June 2026, reporting to David Christopherson, Group Executive Chairman. She will lead the next phase of the Group’s growth – scaling the business internationally, broadening its C-suite advisory capabilities across areas like strategic communications, reputation and ESG, whilst deepening relationships with the Group’s blue-chip client base.
Her appointment comes as Positive Change Group brings its connected model for stakeholder engagement to market.
Businesses are operating in an environment of constant change, with increasing scrutiny, evolving regulation and disruptive technology. Stakeholders are now forming a view based on the combined picture of an organisation’s strategy, performance, sustainability commitments, leadership and culture - with AI increasingly surfacing and interpreting this information in real time. But many organisations still manage these areas separately, making it harder to present a clear and consistent picture.
Positive Change Group brings together specialist agencies across reporting, culture, communications and sustainability into one connected model, helping organisations stay aligned and build stronger, more credible relationships with their stakeholders.
David Christopherson, Group Executive Chairman of Positive Change Group, said:
“The way organisations are judged has changed. Stakeholders form a view based on the full picture, not individual touchpoints - and when that picture doesn’t align, it breaks down trust. That has a direct impact on performance. Decisions slow down, reputation is exposed and confidence is harder to maintain. But when stakeholders are aligned, the opposite is true - decisions move faster, reputation is protected and trust holds. At a time when businesses are navigating constant change, this becomes critical. Our ambition is to build the leading international stakeholder engagement business for that reality - and Helen is exactly the person to deliver it. She understands what boards need, knows how to grow a business at scale and shares our belief in what a connected approach to stakeholder engagement can achieve. We couldn't be more excited to have her leading this next chapter.”
Helen brings over 25 years’ experience advising organisations on corporate communications, reputation management and business transformation. At Weber Shandwick, she led the growth and development of the UK operations while providing senior communications counsel to clients across a range of sectors. She was recently named one of the most influential communications professionals in the UK by PR Week.
Helen Bennett, Group CEO of Positive Change Group, said:
"Throughout my career I've seen how difficult it is for organisations to manage different stakeholder expectations and keep them aligned on the same message, the same corporate story. Positive Change Group has built something that genuinely solves that.
This is a business with serious ambition and a clear proposition at exactly the right moment. The specialist depth is real, the connected model works, and the client base speaks for itself – the Group already works with around 25% of the FTSE 100 and 20% of Singapore's STI 30, alongside major US names like META and Stripe. It’s rare to find an opportunity like this - strong foundations, great clients and the chance to build something truly international. I can’t wait to get started.”
