Black Sun Global has launched AIVIA, an AI-powered assistant designed specifically for corporate websites. The tool aims to transform static content into dynamic conversations whilst providing businesses with data on what visitors actually want to know.
A different approach to website AI
Black Sun Global has launched AIVIA, its first AI product designed specifically for corporate websites. The tool has been deployed on its website as an AI-powered assistant that uses website content to provide real-time answers to user queries.
Unlike generic chatbots, AIVIA (Artificial Intelligence Virtual Assistant) is built to function similarly to tools like ChatGPT but draws insights exclusively from the website's own content.
How the technology works
AIVIA follows a structured process to deliver accurate responses. The system first indexes website content, creating a knowledge base for efficient information retrieval. When visitors ask questions, AIVIA searches this indexed content and identifies relevant information.
The tool then refines search results, discarding unrelated content before sending the query and relevant information to a generative AI model. This model formulates responses tailored to user needs.
Because AIVIA relies solely on indexed website content, it avoids "hallucinations"—inaccurate answers common with generic AI models that draw from broader, less reliable sources.
Business applications
The tool allows users to ask questions in natural language rather than navigating multiple pages or complex menus. Visitors can inquire about company culture, products, or services and receive immediate, relevant answers.
For businesses, AIVIA provides data on visitor interests through question patterns. This information can identify content gaps and inform future website strategies. The company says this approach is more cost-effective than off-the-shelf chatbots that may provide less accurate answers.
Early deployment results
Black Sun reports that visitors are actively engaging with AIVIA since its deployment. The analytics dashboard is providing insights into user behaviour and expectations, with user feedback informing ongoing improvements to functionality. The tool also integrates with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), enabling deployment across various corporate websites.
