Business transformation initiative recognised

People Made and their client, Utility Warehouse, won the award for Best Business Transformation Initiative at the Business Culture Awards. The achievement came in a competitive category that included top brands like Dishoom and Sephora.

The award recognises the culture transformation work undertaken by People Made with the UK's only multiservice utility provider. As Utility Warehouse experienced rapid growth, People Made helped transform the company's internal culture from a close-knit, 'family-feel' environment to one that prioritises performance and sustainable growth.

Client feedback on transformation

Utility Warehouse representatives expressed satisfaction with the project outcomes: "People Made put together a winning formula, and for us, it works so well. We are just really thrilled with the shifts we're making in our culture - the things we're proud of, what we want to keep, what we want to build on, and what we want to change. It's been a fantastic project."

Culture framework drives performance

Working closely with leadership and employees, People Made developed a new cultural framework that linked individual performance with business outcomes. The approach was designed to position Utility Warehouse for long-term success whilst maintaining employee engagement during a period of significant growth.

The project addressed the challenge faced by many rapidly growing companies: evolving from startup culture whilst preserving positive elements and introducing performance-focused structures.

Industry recognition significance

The Business Culture Awards celebrate organisations that put culture at the heart of their strategy, driving business performance through strong employee engagement and innovative cultural initiatives. The awards recognise that culture transformation has become increasingly important as businesses seek sustainable competitive advantages.

People Made's win highlights the growing recognition of culture as a strategic business driver rather than an HR function.
